I absolutely love LMU, it's the perfect school for me. The size is great, it's between small and medium. There are always only 20 students in my classes max, so you become super close with your peers and teachers. The location is amazing, especially if you want to go into the arts. Everyone there is so kind and there are lots of ways to get involved on campus. The party scene is fun too, you're in LA! Greek life is pretty good too but it's not like you need to be in it.

My experience at Loyola Marymount University has been incredibly enriching and fulfilling. The campus is beautiful, and the community is welcoming and supportive. The professors are knowledgeable and passionate, making the learning experience engaging and inspiring.
One aspect I particularly appreciate is the emphasis on social justice and community service, which aligns with the university's mission and values. The diverse range of clubs and activities has allowed me to explore new interests and meet people from different backgrounds, enriching my overall experience.
However, there are a few areas where I think LMU could improve. The availability of certain courses and scheduling options can sometimes be limited, making it challenging to fit everything into a busy schedule.
Overall, LMU has provided me with a strong academic foundation and a supportive community, and I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had here.

Loyola Marymount provides an abundance of opportunities that I'm very grateful for, one of the biggest being the film program's opportunity to fully produce two short films for both the junior and senior thesis. As a film student, we are given full rights to the work we create in the film school and also have access to countless resources (software, editing suites, sound studios, and camera/lighting/film gear). The social culture of the school itself I found to be very isolating for the first couple of years of my time there. As a queer woman of color I found the overall climate to be difficult to connect with, as LMU is a majority white institution. It was difficult to find community and I didn't really begin to connect deeply until my last year as a senior. The administration itself is also not without faults- myself and many of my friends have a collection of racist experiences with faculty and students that were handled extremely poorly by the administration.
